We are Sonick Plague

Sonick Plague long story began in 1983 in Athens, West Virginia where Ken Cuccaro and Tim Meehan (two transplants from New England) got things started . Early members included Brian Rattliff/guitar and James "Bubby" Tabor/vocals and Mike Craighead/bass. Lots of crazy stuff went by (would make a great movie... way to long for this)...moved back to CT got another singer (Bubby couldn't make it) Mike quit and the new singer went crazy.  Met Sean Donnelly which killed 2 birds with one stone (played bass and sang.) Got Joe Innamorrato/guitar and did a demo.  Now Joe's out, Tony Teodoro's in.  Played out a real lot and got hooked up with the people at The Anthrax in Norwalk.  Released the first album under "Anthrax Records".  Tim hippied out and moved back to West Virginia so we pulled Chuck Crilly out of the band room dumpster and toured our asses off!  Upon our return stuff got crazy.  We split up did different projects, got married, had kids and got old!  Middle age crises ensued.  When our brother Tony passed away we felt the need to rekindle the fire.  Released "Sonick Plague" with Pavement Entertainment in 2015 and did a small East Coast tour with D.R.I the following summer.  Exit Sean and enter Erik on bass and Glenn Jacques on vocals.  We have been writing new material and will be booking studio time very soon.

Album Review: Sonick Plague - 'Sonick Plague' - New Noise Magazine

Sonick Plague Sonick Plague (Pavement Music) Sure, Sonick Plague might sound like your ordinary, everyday thrash band but I can almost assure you that they aren't. While there are indeed a lot of familiar thrash, even punk inspired semblances here and there (especially on the vocal side of things) the band aren't afraid to dive ...

Heavy Metal Time Machine

Pavement Music Tim Meehan (guitars) and Ken Cuccaro (drums), Connecticut home. This self-titled CD (which can be (and should be) pre-ordered on the band's official "What's the Purpose" would have on the scene! This is raw, 2012 and Chuck Crilly replaced Tim Meechan on guitar in 1987 .

Sonick Plague Interview - Rock n Reel Reviews

Your new album, 'Sonick Plague', is a re-recorded version of your 1988 debut 'What's the Purpose'. What prompted you to re-record the tracks? Ken: When we first did the record we were on a very tight budget. The recording came out ok but everything got lost in mastering, it sounded like we did it in a dumpster...

Sonick Plague - S/T (Pavement Music)

These songs appeared in 1988, this is a re-recorded album of the 'What's The Purpose' album, formed firmly in the depths of classic thrash metal with a touch of crossover from the vocals on this more up to date version.

Sonick Plague - Self Titled

You have to be grateful to Sonick Plague and Pavement Music for bringing us not only a blast from the band's past but giving it a fresh breath and energy, though it is easy to suspect a straight release of their 1988 debut album would have been a treat too for those us missing it...
